TECHNICAL SPCIFICACIONS FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS TRANSPORTATIONS:
Automatic Wheelchair Platforms BRAUN: The operations of opening, declining and closing are totally AUTOMATIC.
It is in conformity with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations, providing mechanical resistance of the moving and fixed parts, and other movement characteristics. The dimensions of the platform can change according to the wheelchair user needs.
Cargo lifting capacity up to 250 kg (551 pounds)
Wheelchair Locking System: The locking system doesn’t allow side, longitudinal or rotational movements, neither acceleration, slowdown nor braking of the vehicle. It allows adjustment and adequate positioning to all type and model of wheelchair, with easy and safe handling, and it is “quick hitch”; it can be removed when not used. The locking system complies with all requirements of ISO10542 standard (International certificate).
Wheelchair Safety Belt: Thoracic/abdominal type (Three Points) with height adjuster for the last point. The safety belt specific for wheelchair user complies with all requirements of ISO10542 standard (International certificate).
Multi-Positioning Rail Anchoring: They are made of aluminum league specific for wheelchair users’ transportation, allowing multiple positions for the fixation equipments.
Leveler Structural Floor on the Back Hall: The vehicle floor is leveled, avoiding accidents and difficulties to move disabled people and have reinforcement structure for the equipments installed.
Head Restraint of Quick Hitch: System used to avoid cervical injuries to wheelchair users because of back impacts. It allows universal applicability on wheelchairs due a quick hitch system used to connect it to the wheelchair’s handle. The restraint has a height and lateral adjustment in order to be adapted to each user, in addition to depth adjustment.
User’s position in the Vehicle: The wheelchair user must be positioned always in the “direction of travel of the vehicle”.
