People responsible for events organization must consider a wide variety of factor when it comes to planning an event. A factor that cannot be neglected is the medical team available to provide the service necessary in many different situations, such as people feeling sick at the location or accidents involving people attending to the event.
The ideal is that all of the events have a medical team properly able and prepared to solve numerous problems related to the commitment to the participants’ health during the realization of the events. For this reason, it’s indispensable to hire a quality medical service that offers the best conditions, so that people at the event, who need to be immediately rescued, can be properly attended.
The Medicine Federal Council recently announced a resolution about the rules for the medical teams’ performance in big events held at all national territory. According to standards that were published in the Federal Official Gazette, any entity that organize events and need medical assistance must subscribe the service in the Medicine National Council, with definition of the technical director and clinical body.
The rules are directed to artistic and social events, competitions, and also sportive trainings. Producers of big events must be extremely strict when it comes to medical assistance, thinking about infrastructure, the material used to serve the public and even consider hire foreign doctors if exists a huge amount of foreign people at the event.
Each size of event requires a specialized service and a specific structure to the amount of people. For instance: the quantity of medical teams to a large event must take into account the number of tickets or invitations available to the population. Besides that, the Medicine Federal Council has to know in advance the number of teams, in order to inspect the medical centers and other facilities of the event.
The medical assistance in big events must have a medical center located at a fixed environment, an office to each doctor (in case the event is located in more than one area), a room for nursing and medical procedures, and an ambulance with advanced support unit (drivers must know escape routes and directions to the closest hospitals).
When an accident happens at the event, the initial procedure is to immediately call the medical team responsible for the service at the location, just as well authorities able to solve the situation and avoid more damages.
The health professionals in charge of giving first aid need to be properly trained to different kinds of accidents. Usually, the company offers services like simple removal, ICU removal, simple psychiatry removal and ICU pediatric removal.
